You can always create swap fileto add more swap space. This is not same (in every aspect) as swap partition but it will be easy and dynamic. Change /media/fasthdd/swapfile
You would need to use something like System Rescue CD. Backup your data first, then boot System Rescue CD, use the gparted tool to shrink the root (/) partition down to a smaller size, then add an extended partition and then the /home and swap partit
